Despite the typical dazzling offensive abilities of the Memphis Grizzlies, the Boston Celtics once again defeated the inconsistent trio of Rudy Gay, Mike Conley and Marc Gasol (who had an exceptional performance in the loss).

A tale of two halves, the game resumed in the 3rd quarter and culminated in a shootout between Rip Hamilton (who had 20+) and Michael Beasley, whose crushing defense kept Memphis on the outside looking in.

To end the game, Paul Pierce nailed a 3 at the buzzer, breaking the 100 point mark for the 3-0 defending champions.
